COMMENT MANDATORY.
If you were planning to board a two thousand year flight to Paris, which five (5) (or more than five (5)) songs would you ensure you had loaded into/onto your music carrying device and why?

In this order:
1) Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
2) Aeroplane - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
3) Rocket Man - Elton John
4) Learning To Fly - Pink Floyd
5) Vertigo - U2
Nice selection, Tai.
On the topic of U2, the film clip for 'Beautiful Day' was actually filmed at Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris, our first stop.
Rocket Man the Elton Edition, or would should Shatner make an appearance as well?
Mr Shatner certainly does do a good rendition of that song. Depends on the mood you're trying to go for. To listen to the song for the song itself, go with EJ. If you're trying to lighten your mood, go with the Shatner.
In no particular order ..
Come Fly with Me - Frank Sinatra / Robbie Williams / Michael Buble
On the road Again - Canned heat ( Bob Dylan also did a song to this title I think)
Roam - b52's
Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf (also appropriate as the frontman John Kay was born in Germany)
and the pièce de résistance, Leaving on a Jet Plane - John Denver ( Personally I prefer the Me First and the Gimme Gimme's cover).
These may only fill a few minutes but they will be good minutes. Enjoy...
Leaving on a Jet Plane may have been covered by Goldfinger or Me First and the Gimme Gimme's.. I'm a bit confused about that, they sound similar.
It was Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
Goldfrapp covered '99 Luft Balloons' which was great the first 10 times.
Thanks for the suggestions. Keep them coming!!
