The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As part of the Global Illumination for breast cancer research, a particularly shonky joint [I joke, I joke] will be illuminating the wind turbine on Kooragang Island brilliant pink.

Originally built as a trial, the wind turbine is now a reminder of Newcastle's potential to be an energy efficient, environmentally conscious city. Ironically placed on the site coal was first found in Australia, for the month of October this landmark will act as a beacon of hope for the many of us who will be touched by breast cancer.

Take a photo for me!

Get behind this important initiative. Buy a pink ribbon pin, donate, or simply take a moment to think of the millions of people impacted by cancer every day.

Another fun event in October is Porches in Pink. Check it out -->here<--

Thanks for calling,
Agnes Stone
